District 4
District 4 is located on the east-side of Michigan in the thumb region and has the following counties: Huron, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Sanilac.
The grower representative is Jim Wilson from Yale, Michigan in Sanilac County. Jim is the newest appointee from the Governor's office. He has served on the soybean checkoff board since 2009.
Jim has been farming for over thirty years with his brother Fred on their 1,000 acre farm. They have a rotation of soybeans, corn, wheat, and food grade soybeans.
Prior to farming Jim worked for the Gerber Products Company in Michigan and New York in the Administrative and Financial area for twelve years.
